In step 2, we shift the focus inward. How has God gifted you for ministry? What are your personal strengths & spiritual giftings? How has God created you for a unique purpose? We’ll use assessment tools like the DISC profile & a survey of spiritual gifts to help you discover your fit!
Word of Life Family Dinner- June
We don’t just go to church together, we build community together.
Family Dinner happens the last Friday of every month at 6 PM, and it’s one of the easiest ways to step in, meet people, and grow real relationships.
Bring a dish to pass, bring someone with you, and come be part of building something that feels like home.
There’s a place for you at the table!
Level Up Sunday
June 28th during our Sunday morning service, we’re celebrating a big moment for our kids and students.
It’s Level Up Sunday- a time where we recognize and pray over each group as they step into what’s next.
Kindergartners move into LIFE Kidz 1–5.
5th graders stepping into 6th grade move into LIFE Youth Jr.
8th graders heading into 9th grade move into LIFE Youth.
And our graduating seniors step into Sunday Night Young Adult Gatherings.
If you have a child or student set to level-up, please take a moment and REGISTER them!
It’s a special moment for families and for our church as a whole. We’ll take time to celebrate them and believe for everything God has ahead.
We’d love for you to be there and be part of it!
Tailgate Sunday!
Summer, food, games, and a little friendly competition? We’re in.
Join us right after our 10 AM service for Tailgate Sunday in the parking lot. It’ll be a fun time to hang out, enjoy some great food, and spend time together as a church family.
Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the event, but if you want to jump into the competition, bring some food to serve out of your trunk and an activity or game for people to try. Our judges will choose the best tailgate setup, and the winner will take home a prize.
So come hungry, bring your people, and get ready for a fun summer Sunday together.

Syracuse Mets // WOLCA Fundraiser
Join us Friday, June 5, for a fun night at the Syracuse Mets game while supporting Word of Life Christian Academy! Enjoy baseball, community, and post-game fireworks. $5 from every ticket purchased through this fundraiser goes directly to WOLCA. Grab your tickets and join us at the ballpark! ⚾💙

Baptize America
Join us for Baptize America on Pentecost Sunday, May 24th right after service. We’re partnering with churches around the world for what could be the largest day of baptisms in history. Last year, 40 people from our church took this step. If you’re ready or just curious, this could be your moment!
Pentecost Sunday
Pentecost Sunday is all about the promise and power of the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 2, we see a group of ordinary people filled with something extraordinary. The Holy Spirit came, and everything changed. Fear turned into boldness. Waiting turned into movement. The Church came alive. That same gift is still for us today. If you’ve never been baptized in the Holy Spirit, we want to create space for you to receive. If you have, we’re believing for a fresh filling- new boldness, new passion, and a deeper awareness of God’s presence in your life.
Come hungry. Come expectant.
Celebration of Life- Pastor Randy Czyz
We invite you to join us as we honor and celebrate the life of Pastor Randy Czyz, a man whose life was marked by faith, a deep love for people & and faithful service.
Every life is marked by two dates- and a dash in between. That dash represents the story we live, the people we love, and the impact we leave behind. Pastor Randy’s dash was full. Full of devotion to Jesus, love for people, and a lifetime spent serving others.
For 43 years, he faithfully pastored and led, including his time here at Word of Life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his life continues to speak through the many people he poured into.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 PM at Word of Life Assembly of God. The service will be hosted by Pastor Tom Wood, with Pastor John Carter presiding.
Following the service, all are invited to stay for a light reception as we gather, remember, and give thanks for a life so well lived.
We hope you can join us as we honor Pastor Randy’s dash- and the legacy that will continue on.

LIFE Kidz Interest & Preview Night
Wondering what LIFE Kidz is all about? Join us for an Interest and Preview Night where you’ll get a clear look at how discipleship starts at an early age and what your kids can experience on Sundays and midweek. We’ll share what they’re learning, the heart behind it all, and how LIFE Kidz is growing, along with ways you can be part of it. If you’re a parent of a child from 4 months old through 5th grade, come check it out, meet the team, and get connected!

One Day to Feed the World
What if one day could change someone else’s forever? One Day to Feed the World is an opportunity to give one day’s wage to help meet real needs around the world through Convoy of Hope, providing food, clean water, and relief to those who need it most. The Good Friday Promise
The Good Friday Promise Friday, April 3 | 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Before we celebrate Sunday, we remember Friday.
Join us for The Good Friday Promise, a reflective evening experience designed to slow you down and draw you in. Doors are open from 5:30 PM to 7:30PM, so come and go as your evening allows. Walk through self-guided stations around our worship center at your own pace, taking time to sit with the weight of what Jesus did on the cross and what it means for you personally.
This is a space to be honest about sin and brokenness, to look at the cross without looking away, and to receive the staggering truth that your shame has been paid in full. Not in a general, distant way, but personally. Completely. Once and for all.
Good Friday is not easy to sit with, and that is exactly the point. The death of Christ was not a tragedy to move past quickly. It was the moment everything changed. This experience gives you the time and space to let that reality land before we gather on Sunday to celebrate that He did not stay in the grave.
Come ready to reflect. Come ready to receive. And come knowing that what was promised on Friday makes Sunday worth everything.

Family Dinner
There’s something special about gathering around the table together. Once a month, we’re creating space for just that.
Join us for Family Dinner on the last Friday of every month. It’s a relaxed, welcoming night to share a meal, build relationships, and enjoy community across all ages. Whether you’ve been here for years or you’re just getting connected, this is a great place to belong and get to know people.
Our first gathering is Friday, March 27 at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. Just bring a dish to share!
Decadent Dessert Night
Decadent Dessert Night is our chance to say thank you to the incredible volunteers who make everything we do possible. On Monday, March 9th at 7pm, we’re setting aside the usual pace of ministry to slow down, celebrate, and enjoy something sweet together. It’s a night filled with appreciation, connection, and a whole lot of gratitude for the time, heart, and faithfulness you pour into serving. We’re gearing up for Testimony Night—a powerful night of worship and sharing stories of what God has done. It’s happening Monday, November 17th at 6:30 PM.
There’s no set end time- we’ll just flow with what God is doing.
Come ready to share your story and celebrate together because we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!
LIFE Youth- REACH the Community
Join us after service on Sunday, November 9, as LIFE Youth heads to E. Street for lunch ($5) and an afternoon of serving our neighbors by raking leaves. Bring a rake, gloves, or leaf blower if you have one… pick-up at 2:45 PM!

LIFE Path Step 2 is your next step toward discovering your purpose and gifts. Join us at 10am in the South Campus LIFE Path classroom!
All-Church Cleanup
Join us for a day of teamwork, fun, and making our church shine! We’ll be tackling projects big and small- from raking leaves to organizing spaces- as we get the campus ready for the season ahead.
Come ready to serve, connect, and make a difference together.
Coffee & donuts provided! No sign-up needed- just show up and jump in!
Parents Night Out
Need a night out? We’ve got you covered! Drop the kids off for a fun evening while you enjoy a few hours to yourself. Our Girls Ministries team is hosting a special Parents Night Out!
Cost is just $15 per child, with a family maximum of $45. Open to ages 3 and up.
You can register online in advance or at the door- whatever’s easiest for your family.
Take a break, relax, and let us handle childcare for the night!
