  • Learning to Follow Jesus is a step by step discipleship guide written by Daniel McNaughton & Claude Valdes. The book has 7 chapters, or qualities.

    1. Learn to be With Jesus

    2. Learn to Listen

    5. Learn to Love

    6. Learn to Pray

    7. Learn to Manage

    In each quality you'll find a scripture verse to focus on that week, guided questions based on the scripture passages & some helpful questionaries to help guide your discussion.

  • Each week, you'll read through one quality of the Learning to Follow Jesus book. Estimate about 15 minutes each day of reading & answering questions in the book. On your coaching day that week, your coach will guide you through a discussion of that week's reading & allow the Holy Spirit to speak to both of you as the session progresses. The session is confidential & discussion stays between you & your coach. Each session closes with prayer & a preview of the next week's reading.

  • You & your coach will set up a one hour meeting once a week for 8 weeks. Outside of your coaching meetings, anticipate around 15 minutes a day of reading through the Learning to Follow Jesus resource.

  • We have had coaching sessions at on-site at church, as well as in homes, coffee shops & other spaces around the community. You & your coach will work together to find the ideal place for both of you.

  • Our coaches are church members- many who you may recognize from other areas of the church! Our coaches have themselves been coached through the program & are passionate about helping others in their faith journey.

  • Yes! If you already have a coach in mind, let us know when you sign up! If not, we'll reach out to a coach that we think might be a great fit!
